Joining Cubs

Joining our Cub Pack is quite simple.

Simply call in with your Cub on a Friday afternoon and chat to one of the Adult Leaders (Adults in Uniform). We will happily explain it all to you.

It's best to arrive about 20 minutes before we start as we will need to have a quick chat with you and you will need to sign a consent form. Cubs starts at 17h30 on a Friday, so please pop in just after 5pm.

Joining Scouts

Joining our Scout Troop is quite simple.

Simply call in with your Scout on a Friday evening and chat to one of the Adult Leaders (Adults in Uniform). We will happily explain it all to you.

It's best to arrive about 20 minutes before we start as we will need to have a quick chat with you and you will need to sign a consent form. Scouts starts at 19h00 on a Friday, so please pop in just after half past six.

The Joining Process

The process for a Cub or Scout to join our Group is as follows:

The Cub or Scout must attend between 4 and 6 consecutive meetings

During this time, they will be taught about scouting and, ultimately, find out if they would like to attend on a permanent basis

There are no fees due for this initial period

Once the Cub or Scout has attended the initial period, the Cub or Scout makes the decision if they would like to join our Group (Not Mom or Dad: This is the start of getting each Cub or Scout to take responsibility for their actions)

Once your child has made the decision to attend our Group, we will invest them (They "Take" the Promise).
